Aman and Max

Our Story

GradeWiz was founded by Cornell students Max Bohun and Aman Garg to modernize education. We have three key beliefs about Education:

  1. Real learning happens through real feedback
  2. Educator's time is best spent teaching and inspiring students
  3. Brilliance isn't born, it's built - with the right guidance, any student can master any subject

We're not just building another EdTech platform – we're reimagining the fundamental relationship between teachers, students, and knowledge itself. We are starting with grading, which we believe is the biggest problem in education. Instructor time is taken away from students, and students aren't given nearly enough feedback. After transforming grading, we want to maximize learning.

We're building GradeWiz because the future of education isn't about standardization – it's about personalization. By partnering closely with educators and students, we're creating a platform where every student can become an expert. The future of education is personal, powerful, and possible – and it starts here.

The world we aim to create

Vision

01

Maximum teacher-student engagement

In Oxford, students meet professors every week in groups of 3 or 4 to go through lecture material in great detail. We want this level of personalization in to every school to ensure no student is left behind. Even though we are modernizing education with AI, we want it to be more human than ever.

02

Equal educational opportunity for all

Every student should get access to quality feedback that helps them learn from mistakes quickly and prevents them from getting discouraged. We don;t want to live in a world where only students at the best schools with the best tutors are succeeding, we want everyone to have the best learning resources.

03

Personalized education

Each student learns differently; they learn at different speeds, with different strengths and weaknesses and with different interests. We want educational materials to be tailored to students maximize learning for everyone. We do not believe in the one size-fits all approach.

04

Education that’s fun

This may take the shape of re-framing education into a game instead of a stressor. Maybe providing more flexibility in learning so students enjoy it. Students should look forward to going to school.
